Zolder
Abuse your brakes and launch over the heavy chicanes of this classic Belgian circuit.
Track Intelligence
Circuit Zolder is notorious in the motorsport world for being an absolute "brake killer." The layout features fast, flowing straights that are heavily and abruptly interrupted by three very sharp, slow chicanes. Drivers must be willing to violently mount the high kerbs of the Villeneuve and Bolderberg chicanes, practically launching the car into the air to straighten the racing line.
Because of the massive deceleration events, managing brake pad wear, avoiding fluid boil (brake fade), and maintaining supreme straight-line stability under heavy braking are the sheer keys to surviving Zolder. If the brakes fail or overheat here, a massive accident at the end of a high-speed straight is guaranteed.
