Track Intelligence
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is one of motorsport's most challenging historic venues. Famous for the terrifyingly fast Eau Rouge/Raidillon complex, drivers must master extreme compression and blind crests that push both car and human to their physical limits. A low-to-medium downforce setup is essential to maximize speed on the long Kemmel Straight without entirely sacrificing mid-corner grip.
This modernized layout features updated, highly abrasive tarmac, forcing drivers to adapt to abruptly changing mechanical grip levels across different sectors. Weather here is famously unpredictable, meaning a driver must be prepared to handle rain on one side of the 7-kilometer track while the other remains bone dry, particularly through the terrifyingly fast, aero-dependent sweepers of Pouhon and Blanchimont.
