COTA
Scale the steep hill to Turn 1 on this modern, multi-discipline American mega-circuit.
Track Intelligence
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a massive, modern track composed of highly distinct, contrasting sectors. It begins with an incredibly steep, iconic climb into the blind Turn 1 hairpin, immediately followed by a flowing, high-speed sequence of Suzuka-style Esses that demand rapid changes of direction. The massive back straight then requires top speed before dumping into a tight, multi-apex stadium section.
Because of these extremes, COTA demands a highly versatile setup compromise, balancing high downforce for Sector 1 with low drag for Sector 2. Drivers must be extremely careful regarding track limits in the wide, paved run-off areas, constantly fighting the urge to run completely wide to maximize speed through the fast sweepers.
