Track Intelligence
Brands Hatch is a compact, classic British track defined by its extreme elevation changes, unforgiving grass verges, and heavily cambered corners. Turn 1 (Paddock Hill Bend) is a blind, downhill, off-camber right-hander that tests the absolute limits of a car's front-end grip and the driver's nerve; the car compresses violently at the bottom before immediately launching uphill into the Druids hairpin.
Smooth throttle application and carrying momentum are absolutely vital, particularly through the narrow, high-speed woodland section of the full Grand Prix loop. The track heavily penalizes over-driving; pushing too hard will simply overheat the outer edges of the tires and push the car wide into the deep gravel traps.
