Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst is a brutal track of two extreme halves: the massive Conrod and Mountain straights demanding low aerodynamic drag, and a tight, twisting, concrete-lined mountain section demanding maximum downforce. This forces engineers and drivers into a massive setup compromise, usually leaning toward top speed to allow for overtaking while relying entirely on driver skill to survive the mountain.

The descent through the "Dipper" and "Esses" requires pinpoint precision, immense bravery, and absolute trust in the vehicle's front end. Drivers must heavily utilize trail-braking down the steep gradients to rotate the car, skimming the concrete walls by millimeters to maintain momentum in sections where passing is virtually impossible.
