Alpine Snow Rally
Dance on ice and snow through treacherous, high-altitude mountain passes.
Track Intelligence
Racing on compressed snow and sheer ice completely alters fundamental vehicle dynamics. Heavily studded tires are absolutely mandatory, and drivers must constantly search for the mechanical "bite" within the softer snow banks lining the road to help rotate the car. The steering wheel becomes secondary; steering direction is dictated primarily by careful weight transfer using the throttle and brake pedals.
Because the surface offers almost zero immediate resistance, drivers must initiate corners much earlier than on tarmac. Gentle, highly anticipatory inputs are required to manage the massive inertia of the car as it floats over the slick surface, preventing terminal understeer that will send the vehicle sliding off the cliff edges.
