Zandvoort
Ride the steep banking and battle coastal winds in the Dutch dunes.
Track Intelligence
Circuit Zandvoort is an old-school, flowing rollercoaster defined by its dramatic, heavily banked corners—most notably Turn 3 (Hugenholtz) and the final Turn 14 (Luyendyk). The massive 18-degree banking at the final corner allows cars to carry flat-out, terrifying speed directly onto the main straight, requiring a setup that can handle extreme vertical compression without bottoming out.
The banked hairpins allow for multiple, highly creative racing lines, letting drivers use the steep incline to pivot the car dynamically. However, nestled directly in the coastal dunes, the track is heavily subjected to high winds that unpredictably blow sea sand onto the tarmac, making the braking zones incredibly treacherous and constantly shifting the grip limit.
