Sachsenring
Manage intense tire wear on this plunging, left-turn-heavy German circuit.
Track Intelligence
The Sachsenring is notoriously asymmetrical and physically demanding, featuring an overwhelming abundance of long, sweeping left-hand corners. This unique layout absolutely tortures the right-side tires, generating massive heat that inevitably leads to severe mid-race understeer. Setup engineers must compromise the left-side grip to ensure the right tires survive the race distance.
The defining, heart-stopping feature of the circuit is "The Waterfall" (Turn 11), a completely blind, terrifyingly fast downhill right-hander that arrives just as the right-side tires have cooled down from the endless lefts. The car becomes incredibly light over the crest, requiring immense bravery and a perfectly steady throttle foot to prevent a high-speed spin.
