RedBull Ring
Tackle massive elevation changes and heavy braking zones in the Styrian mountains.
Track Intelligence
The Red Bull Ring features a deceivingly simple layout with only 10 corners, but its massive elevation changes make it a highly technical and demanding venue. Turns 1, 3, and 4 require extremely late, uphill braking where it is incredibly easy to lock the front tires. The track layout heavily rewards a "point-and-shoot" driving style, focusing entirely on rotating the car quickly to maximize corner exit speed down the three main straights.
A car with excellent longitudinal grip—meaning supreme braking stability and massive mechanical traction on exit—will always dominate here. Furthermore, track limits at the final two sweeping downhill corners are notoriously difficult to judge, requiring drivers to ride the treacherous exit kerbs without dropping a wheel into the gravel.
