Imola
Attack the brutal kerbs of this historic, anti-clockwise Italian classic.
Track Intelligence
Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) is an aggressive, anti-clockwise track characterized by fast, sweeping straights heavily interrupted by violent, slow-speed chicanes. To extract a fast lap time here, a driver must absolutely abuse the kerbs, cutting the distances as much as physically possible. This demands a suspension setup with enough compliance to swallow massive kerb strikes without completely unsettling the chassis.
The heavy braking zones into the Tosa hairpin and the downhill Rivazza corners require masterful trail-braking to keep the front tires loaded. The infamous Variante Alta chicane sits at the crest of a hill, meaning the car becomes incredibly light just as the driver must throw it violently left and right over the towering sausage kerbs.
